Works with the Metal Fabrication Supervisor in establishing and maintaining the brake press, turret and/or laser center for the fabrication department. 3. Follows the written procedures for the operation of machines. 4. Responsible for interpreting blueprints or engineering drawings to determine dimension of parts and configuration of cuts. Determines type and size of cutting tools, according to hardness of metal stock and shape of cut. 5. Operates all available machine tools and performs progressive machining operations on work involving very close tolerances or unusual requirements to assure quality production goals are achieved. 6. Has all work at each step of production inspected to assure compliance with company’s Quality Standard Policy and Procedures. 7. Keeps Supervisor informed of any quality variances. 8. Assures the work area and aisles around them are kept clean and free of debris. 9. Returns all items and tools to their proper place. 10. This role will partner with plant management, engineering, and procurement to implement cost accounting methods and procedures to improve bill of material accuracy and costing of products. This roll will be responsible for preparation and analysis of cost reports and inventory accounts. The individual should have an eye towards continuous improvement, leveraging technology and other solutions to automate and scale our processes to enable strategic decisions. The individual must possess excellent critical thinking skills, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and possess an attention to detail. Responsibilities: • Partner with operations to improve plant financial performance and reduce variances • Work on shop floor several hours a day with Purchasing/Manufacturing/Engineering • Work with operations to capture and drive productivity savings • Prepare operations variance analysis to standard and ad hoc reports to assist in the determination of profitability • Analyze and set material and other standard costs • Analyze, prepare and maintain annual manufacturing standard rates • Analyze variable costs and make appropriate budget adjustments • Validate cost and pricing information for contracts and update as required • Analyze headcount and related benefit expenses • Analyze operations including interpreting and communicating cost and expense variances to management • Participate in a critical role with month-end accounting close including journal entry preparation, inventory reconciliation, other account reconciliations as assigned • Assist in preparation of capital expenditure justification and payback analysis • Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance • 3-5 years of directly related Finance experience within a manufacturing/supply chain organization • Strong attention to detail with proven capabilities in handling multiple priorities • Strong Excel Skills, Microsoft office suite • Excellent analytical, mathematical, problem-solving abilities, collaborative and with sound judgement • Solid understanding of Information Systems/ERP Systems
