Position Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Have the ability to take direction. 2. Works with the Metal Fabrication Supervisor in establishing and maintaining the brake press, turret and/or laser center for the fabrication department. 3. Follows the written procedures for the operation of machines. 4. Responsible for interpreting blueprints or engineering drawings to determine dimension of parts and configuration of cuts. Determines type and size of cutting tools, according to hardness of metal stock and shape of cut. 5. Operates all available machine tools and performs progressive machining operations on work involving very close tolerances or unusual requirements to assure quality production goals are achieved. 6. Has all work at each step of production inspected to assure compliance with company’s Quality Standard Policy and Procedures. 7. Keeps Supervisor informed of any quality variances. 8. Assures the work area and aisles around them are kept clean and free of debris. 9. Returns all items and tools to their proper place. 10. Follows procedures in company handbook and other documents. 11. Displays a sense of urgency towards completing assigned tasks. 12. Maintains outstanding attendance. 13. Is dependable and displays a strong work ethic. 14. Works within a team concept and contributes to a positive work environment. 15.
